Art and Frame Gallery Jaipur

ART GALLERY IN JAIPUR

Among India's most significant art institutions, Jaipur Art Gallery and Artandframe.in has in a decade since, it has built a reputation as India's largest private repository of twentieth century Indian modern art. Its collection spans works that include early moderns, European artists and the spectrum of Indian modernism from its genesis to high modernism and the works of modern masters whose careers have included the twenty-first century.

Art Gallery in Jaipur has a large research and documentation cell where researchers and scholars work on archiving and documenting the collection, and their scholarship enhances the quality of the exhibitions with material that is used in the making of its handsomely produced books, each of which adds value to the art history of the country.

Soon, a van displaying artworks of well-known Rajasthani artists will be touring various cities.Often when someone wants to see a work by a well-known painter, a fancy art gallery is the only place where they can go. However, soon, artworks and masterpieces by famous Rajasthani artists will be on display... on a vehicle! In Arty Gallery , in a bid to promote art in remote areas, has bought a van. This gallery-on-wheels will be equipped with modern facilities like an LCD projector and will travel to different cities and places where there are no art galleries, to host art exhibitions.

The van has a display area where almost 30 paintings can be displayed at a time, and the LCD projector is meant to screen art films and documentaries on artists. Mukesh Gupta reveals that a wide collection of artworks by various artists will even be put up on display in other states as part of the exchange programme.

Jaipur Art Gallery has curated such iconic exhibitions as Indian Landscapes (2012), Indian Portraits (currently featured in Jaipur), Continuum (on the Progressives, 2011), The Printed Picture (on printmaking, 2012), all of them spanning periods of two to three centuries. A biannual series, Manifestations, is now nine editions old and among the gallery's most important sequence of exhibitions for the rarity of works exhibited.

The building in the heritage precincts has been sensitively restored. The character of the facade as well as the integrity of the interiors has been maintained. Architectural firm Morphogenesis has used elements from the building to create icons within the space. When the mind first explored a routine thing to reveal its beauty aspect, or a skilled hand of artisan packed into a thing of day-today use the power to inspire and delight, is not known, perhaps beyond human memory.
